All I heard about high school before I came was how scary it was and that i would never "survive" it. So here I was, this little eighth grader, walking into this HUGE school of a thousand kids and trying to find my way.

As I walked through the heavy doors, I became a freshman. That word sounded so new to me and I knew I had some big shoes to fill. The halls were like a highway. You had to get into the line fast, or someone else was going to claim your spot. Then I had to face the hardest mission of my day...my locker. I think every kid worries about if their locker is going to open for them or not, and so did I. It was surprising how easy it was for me to open it and then find all my classes.

For me, high school was not as scary or as hard as people led me to beleive. If you go into it thinking that it is going to be too hard or you are not going to like it, then you probably aren't. But if you go into it with a good attitude, then you will have a fun time in high school like it is supposed to be.
