Spring Break

I can't believe spring break is finally over! It went by too fast. But there is good news, less than 40 days of school left! I always love that when we come back from break, school seems to go by way faster. Until the last week that is. The weather is starting to clear up and the temperature is getting higher, thats always a good sign. Only a few more weeks until we can put away the jackets and bring out the shorts and flip flops(:

Blogging

I think blogging is a stupid waste of time. The average person does not sit on their computer at home and read these; everyone is just too busy. To me, it seems people who blog a lot are just bored all the time. Do you have nothing else better to do? Go outside and play a sport or hang out with people. Some of these blog authors write as much as ten blogs in one day. I think that is just too much time spent on a computer.

So to all you bloggers out there, go out and enjoy the sunshine!

Spring Is Here!

Spring is finally here! It seems like it took forever. The warm sun outside just makes me feel happy all the time, even though its still not too warm out. It is a nice thing to be able to go outside without carrying around a huge bulky jacket. I am trying to take advantage of this unusualy warm weather for March and try to go outside and do something everyday. '

I started track a few weeks ago and it is so much better running in shorts and a tshirt instead of sweatpants and a coat. The only bad thing about spring that I dont like is all the rain. I know its a lot better than snow and I'd take rain over snow any day, but it really sucks that its almost warm outside and I can't even go out because of all the rain.

Pretty soon the girls are going to bring out their flip flops and the guys will bring out their shorts. Summer is just around the corner, I can hardly wait! I think it is just about everyone's favorite season. It is too bad it always feels the shortest. People are starting to count down the months, then pretty soon the weeks. Finally it will be a matter of days until that amazing feeling of being out of school.

Sophia Bumbilini(:

This week my family is watching a black lab puppy named Sophia Bumbilini.
She is so cute. Obviously because she is a puppy, she chews on everything...but Sophia chews on absolutely EVERYTHING. Last night I had my slippers on my feet and she was chewing on them. And she started to chew on my ipod this morning.

When she gets bored, she goes and gets things (she likes shoes a lot) and will parade them around you so that you will start to chase her. That is her way of playing with you. So you have to keep all the doors to the rooms closed while youre not in them. Last night she slept with me, and oh my gosh does she snore loud! I never knew someone could snore so loud.

When you say the word "walk" she goes crazy! She runs down the stairs so fast she almost knocks you over. And when you're walking, shes walking you; you're not walking her. I'm going to miss her so much when she leaves. I hope we get to watch her again soon.

And the American Idol is...Who cares?

American Idol is just becoming a joke. Enough! How long is it going to take until they stop making new seasons? Is everyone going to become an American Idol?

I think every contestant sounds the same and I'm getting tired of watching the show. This year they picked a lot of horrible singers that when I heard them for the first time, I was shocked. The judges don't look like they are into it this year for some reason. Except for the new judge...whatever her name is. They are probably bored with this too. This year,Paula is crazy; I can't even stand to listen to her. I will be gladly shocked if this is the last season of American Idol.http://www.americanidol.com/

No More Chicken Nuggets!?

Last week a 27 year old women in Florida called 911 several times because the McDonalds she was at, ran out of chicken nuggets. Wow

After she already paid for a ten piece chicken nugget and fries, they ran out and refused to refund her money. The women went on about how it was an emergency because the lady wouldnt giver her money back and was "making" her eat a McDouble. I listened to the audio and the police's voice is just so annoyed with the lady. It's hilarious. She was then later charged with misuse of 911 and McDonalds is saying she should have gotten her money back. They are now sending her a gift card for a free meal. Can I get fries with that? Gosh I Wish It Were Summer!

This year seems like summer is taking its good old time to get here and the snow is driving me crazy! Every time I walk outside, it just reminds me how much I miss that amazing season. It's weird how summer seems to go by so fast and then winter and spring take forever to be done with.


I miss the beaches, tanning, swimming, bathing suits, and just being able to go outside without taking five minutes to prepare for the 5 second walk out to your car. It seems that the best things in life go by so fast when they are here. Just like a week vacation seems like only a day or two, and summer only feels like a week.

My grandparents have a cottage in the upper peninsula and we go up there every summer. Every year when we go up, it takes about 6 hours to get there. Those are the longest 6 hours of my life and then once we're up there for a week or two, it flys by so fast! Too bad the drive home doesn't :/

Life's Too Short

The past week has not been my favorite. Sadly, my uncle passed away yesterday and it has been a tough few days. Now more than ever, I hate when people complain about little things because they're bored. People really have nothing to complain about unless they're deathly ill like my uncle was. He was 48 years old and to me, that's just too soon to die. I know he would have wished he could have done more things in his life and when it gets to be that time for me, I hope I wont.



A few things I want to do before I pass away are,

• Dine at a fancy restaurant


• Sky dive(:


• Go to Hawaii and learn how to surf


• Go to Spain


• Get married/ have kids


• See France from the top of the Eiffel Tower


• Go to Times Square for New Years Eve

North Korea Cries...Again

North Korea has not become the biggest fan of President Obama in the past few weeks he has been in office. Yet again, North Korea has become the "baby" of the world and when they do not get enough attention...they cry and make a fit about it.

North Korea has shown signs of restlessness and increased hostility against their Asian neighbors and the U.S. because they feel ignored. I do not know why their country feels they have to be the center of attention all the time. When Bush was in office, he created a situation where the United States bowed to North Korea's every little whine and moan about not having enough money and resources.

In 2006, they reminded Bush that they do not like being ignored by firing seven missiles in a "missile test". To me, this sounds a lot like when my little brother does not get a toy he wanted at the store and has a huge tantrum. My mom finally caves in almost every time, and then to him, the world's happy again. Korea just needs to grow up and deal with their problems themselves.

I think President Obama is doing a good and bad thing. Good because he is showing North Korea that we cannot always pay attention to only them and then not on our own country. Bad because they could get fed up with our lack of urgency that they could do something irrational. Hilary Clinton is expected to name a representative specialy for North Korea but many people are worried because she has not yet named other officials for Asia. So this could take a while.

I think every country is getting fed up with North Korea and just wishes they would worry about getting their own country help and not just using our resources and money for unimportant things. President Obama should continue what he is doing by not responding to that country while Hilary Clinton finds an official for North Korea. If I lived there, I would be ashamed of my country. All I heard about high school before I came was how scary it was and that i would never "survive" it. So here I was, this little eighth grader, walking into this HUGE school of a thousand kids and trying to find my way.

As I walked through the heavy doors, I became a freshman. That word sounded so new to me and I knew I had some big shoes to fill. The halls were like a highway. You had to get into the line fast, or someone else was going to claim your spot. Then I had to face the hardest mission of my day...my locker. I think every kid worries about if their locker is going to open for them or not, and so did I. It was surprising how easy it was for me to open it and then find all my classes.

For me, high school was not as scary or as hard as people led me to beleive. If you go into it thinking that it is going to be too hard or you are not going to like it, then you probably aren't. But if you go into it with a good attitude, then you will have a fun time in high school like it is supposed to be.
